Owners in West Cave Estates enjoy the beautiful hill county setting with long vistas in all directions.  West Cave Estates is located in a country setting showcased in our beautiful 1-acre entrance park with 60+ trees, bench seating, picnic tables, grills, and a large playscape and swing area for you and your kids to enjoy.

We are approximately 7 miles from the Village of Bee Cave to the east, 7 miles from the City of Dripping Springs to the south, and 7 miles to the natural wonder of the area,  Hamilton Pool to the west.   Hamilton Pool and an adjoining property, Reimer's Ranch, both Travis County Parks, draw a constant stream of visitors to the area.  Just west of Hamilton Pool on the west side of the Pedernales River is West Cave Preserve.

Board Meetings
The West Cave HOA Board of Directors usually meets monthly. Each board member and community member can request agenda items they believe to be of importance and have a common interest in the community. If you wish to speak during the open forum contact the Board Secretary. The agenda and location of the meeting are posted to the bulletin board at the Park, posted to this website, and email notifications are sent to members who have registered (see below).

Payments
Dues Assessment starting January 2024 are $15.00 per month per lot or $180.00 per lot for the fiscal year of 2024. The HOA Board of Directors strongly encourages you to remit the annual amount of $180.00, rather than making monthly payments. If you pay by check send your payment along with your account number to West Cave Estates HOA, Inc. c/o Goodwin Processing Center PO Box 93447 Las Vegas, NV 89193-3447. Make sure the payment arrives by the 15th of the month. For additional information about your payment options refer to the 2024 Dues Assessment letter which you received around the beginning of December or if you have any account-related questions or updates, please contact Goodwin Customer Service at 512-502-7515 or go to info@goodwintx.com

KEEPING INFORMED:
The Board is constantly looking for ways to be more efficient.  We have adopted a policy to send out notices/letters by e-mail whenever possible.  To do that residents are encouraged to give Goodwin an up-to-date e-mail address. If we do not have your valid e-mail address on file we are forced to mail out letters to you by USPS.  In the future residents without an email address will be charged the cost of postage and handling.

What You've Always Wanted to Know About Fido
If either you or your pet is attacked by a dog you should call 311. The 311 Operator will direct a response to your residence based on your address. Hays County serves West Cave Estates even in those areas in Travis County.

Oak Wilt Pruning
Oak wilt is the most destructive disease affecting live oaks and red oaks in Central Texas. Most of the tree mortality results from tree-to-tree spread of the pathogen through interconnected or grafted root systems, once an oak wilt center becomes established.

Local Vendor Database
A feature of the West Cave Estates website is the Local Vendor database.  (See the menu bar to the left, last item on the list)  The vendors listed have been recommended by your neighbors.   Only those vendors with overall positive recommendations are listed.

This database is listed as a service to owners only.  Be sure to get competitive bids for any jobs you are considering.   Buyer beware!

If you would like to add a vendor to the list, email any Board member listed under the Governance tab with the contact information for your vendor

Mailbox Posts
The HOA Board recently discovered that only breakaway type objects including mailbox posts shall be allowed within the clear zone of the Right of Way per Travis County Chapter 82, Section 82.210 "Objects Within County Right of Way and Section 251.003 of the Texas Property Code. Refer to those provisions for grandfathering information. The Board has revised the language in paragraph 7 of the Residence Construction Request form.

NO OPEN BURNING EVER ALLOWED in West Cave Estates.

Article VI, Section 27. Firearms, Explosives, and Fires.  “No open fires shall be lighted or permitted on the Property except (a) in a contained barbecue unit while attended and in use for cooking purposes or (b) within a safe and well-designed interior fireplace.”

This restriction supersedes any County burn ban status, and anything the County Fire Stations might tell you, as the fire stations do not try to keep up with neighborhood restrictions.

Nextdoor Community Forum

Andy Michaels set up West Cave on the community forum called "Nextdoor".   Over 320 neighbors have signed up.  Go to westcaveestates.nextdoor.com/join and enter code "KNKHQR".  This will get you directly to the sign-up page for WCE.   Contact Andy Michael at amichael3253@hotmail.com if you need assistance.  This site also allows owners who don't live here to signup. Nextdoor is a forum for many of the surrounding communities and is not an official site for West Cave Estates. Go the governance tab to contact a Board member if you have a suggestion/concern or contact the association manager at 512-862-7071.
