History
West Cave Estates was originally developed by the Tortuga Land Development Company in the mid 1980s from the previous Brooks Ranch.  West Cave Estates has 318 lots in three sections.  Most lots are approx 1-1.5 acres in size with some lots as large as 4 acres with many homeowners owning multiple lots.  The county line for Travis and Hays County crosses diagonally across the subdivision from NorthWest to SouthEast.  Section I and II (Hays County) were developed first with Section IV (Travis County) following several years later.

The original developers of West Cave must have had a sense of humor as evidenced in the naming of the streets:  all of the major streets have West Cave in the name:  West Cave Loop, West Cave Boulevard, West Cave Crossing, West Cave Circle and West Cave Cove.   If you are a new resident to West Cave be prepared to rescue your visitors by directing them to their GPS systems to find your house.   The easiest way to remember how to get around in West Cave Estates is to remember that the two major roads are loop roads:  West Cave Loop--to the north on the Travis side and West Cave Boulevard--to the south on the Hays side connected by West Cave Crossing.  The 1 acre West Cave park land sits at the juncture of West Cave Crossing and West Cave Boulevard.
